CLPOA Renewal Tips and Upcoming Events

Welcome back to Clear Lake after a long cold winter….We have now pasted the official 1st year of our new website in operation, and have noticed a few challenges for some residents trying to renew their CLPOA membership.
As a reminder, the registration and membership payment process can only be done online and requires members to pay their annual fee using a credit card. Your membership lasts for a full year from the date of initial registration. Several email reminders to renew are sent to your email address on file prior to the membership expiration date and one after that date if not already renewed. You can renew before the actual expiry date and the system will extend your membership for a year from the original expiration date.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept cash, cheque or etransfers for registration or renewals. Sending us any of these types of payments bypasses our audit systems and DOES NOT activate your account. If and when our treasurer catches any of these, he is forced to contact you, write a personal cheque to refund you and then try to reconcile with our bank. This is obviously a very labor intensive process and as good as he is, could still result in us not recognizing the transaction.
TO NENEW, sign into your CLPOA account and go to the Member Area, open the Membership Details page, you can Renew or Upgrade. The difference is that Renew is for just 1 year, Upgrade tells the system to Renew Annually on the expiration date automatically….and therefore you do not need to worry about it ever again.
The only time renewals may fail is if you change your email address and have not updated you CLPOA account online OR you have received a new credit card where number or dates changes have occurred. If your credit card does change, you can update your Payment Method in your CLPOA account.
As a final reminder, we have 2 upcoming events in the next 5 weeks. The AGM is being held on July 5th with coffee, tea and goodies starting at 9:30 am and the MEMBERS ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT being held on July 25th with tee off at 8:30 sharp. Please note that members can only register their golf group and pay by credit card online by logging into your CLPOA account, going to the Members Annual Golf Tournament page and completing the RSVP form including credit card information.
